PetrichorPages Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 9/7/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of PetrichorPages (the “Software”) from Petrichor Pages LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.

Your use of the Software itself is additionally governed by our End User License Agreement (“EULA”), which you also agree to as part of your purchase.

1. The Product

Petrichor Pages is a desktop application for formatting manuscripts for print and ebook publication. It is sold as a one-time license per the pricing shown at checkout, not a subscription, unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

2. Purchases and Payment

  • All purchases are processed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not directly store your payment card details.
  • Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice; the price you pay is the price displayed at the time of checkout.
  • Upon successful payment, you will receive a license key by email, along with a link to download the Software.

3. Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase if you have not activated your license key on any device. To request a refund, contact us at customersupport@petrichorpages.com with your order details. Some jurisdictions (e.g., the EU, UK) grant consumers a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days. In those instances, Petrichor Pages will comply with the law in those jurisdictions.

4. License Keys

Your purchase includes one license key, permitting activation on the number of devices specified in your EULA (typically one). See the EULA for full terms governing your use of the license key, device activation limits, and license transfer.

5. System Requirements and Compatibility

Petrichor Pages currently requires Windows 10/11 64-bit. We do not guarantee compatibility with systems outside these requirements. It is your responsibility to confirm your system meets these requirements before purchasing.

6. Important Notice About Windows Security Warnings

Before purchasing, please review our notice regarding Windows security warnings — installing the Software on Windows will show a security warning because the application is not yet digitally signed by a recognized certificate authority. This is expected and does not indicate the Software is unsafe. By purchasing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this notice.

7. Your Responsibility to Review Exported Files

The Software assists in formatting manuscripts and exporting them as PDF and EPUB files for print and digital publication, but it does not replace your own review of the final result. You are solely responsible for reviewing, proofreading, and verifying the accuracy, formatting, and pagination of any PDF or EPUB file the Software exports before publishing, printing, or distributing it.

This includes, but is not limited to, checking your exported file for:

  • Correct page breaks and chapter placement
  • Proper text flow and pagination, especially around embedded images, drop caps, and decorative page layouts
  • Spelling, grammar, and content accuracy
  • Correct rendering of special characters, formatting, and images carried over from your source document

We do not guarantee that a PDF or EPUB file exported by the Software will be free of formatting errors, and we are not responsible for costs associated with reprinting, republishing, or correcting a file you did not review before use. We strongly recommend opening and reviewing your exported file carefully — and, for print projects, ordering a physical proof copy before placing a full print order — prior to finalizing publication.

8. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its design, code, and any bundled themes or artwork, is the property of Petrichor Pages LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your purchase grants you a license to use the Software as described in the EULA — it does not transfer ownership of the Software to you.

You retain full ownership of any manuscripts or content you create using the Software.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. See the EULA for the full disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability that applies to your use of the Software.

10. Changes to the Software and These Terms

We may update the Software and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Software after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms, or requests for support or refunds, can be directed to customersupport@petrichorpages.com
