PetrichorPages Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9/7/2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Petrichor Pages LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you visit petrichorpages.com, purchase PetrichorPages (the “Software”), or use the Software itself, and how that information is used.
1. Information We Collect
From your purchase
When you buy PetrichorPages through our checkout (powered by Stripe), we receive:
- Your email address — used to send you your license key and a link to download the Software, and kept on file in case you need support (e.g., recovering a lost key, requesting a refund, or transferring your license).
- Payment confirmation — Stripe handles your actual payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) directly. We never see or store your full card information ourselves.
From using the Software
- A license key — a randomly generated code tied to your purchase, used to verify you’re a licensed user.
- A device identifier — a random identifier generated by the Software itself (not derived from your hardware or any personally identifying information about your computer), used only to enforce the number of devices your license permits.
- License check-ins — the Software periodically confirms your license key and device identifier are still valid. No other information about your computer or activity is sent during this check.
What we do not collect
Your manuscripts, drafts, and any writing you create in the Software never leave your own computer. Saving a draft writes a file directly to your computer using your operating system’s normal save dialog — it is not uploaded to us or stored on our servers. We have no access to the content of anything you write or format using the Software. When using Whops online format, your manuscript is saved in your own browser.
We also do not track how you use the Software beyond the periodic license check described above — no analytics on your writing habits, document contents, or in-app activity.
From the website
Information obtained from contact forms for affiliate applications and feedback forms are used for the sole purpose of correspondence with the submitter. This information is not shared with outside parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Deliver your purchased license key and Software download;
- Verify your license when the Software checks in;
- Provide customer support, process refunds, and handle license transfers;
- Send you important notices about the Software (e.g., critical updates or changes to this policy) — we do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in to that on our website.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on the following third parties to operate our business. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Resend — delivery of transactional emails (e.g., your license key). See Resend’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting for our license server and the storage of license records described above. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain your email address and license record for as long as your license remains valid, and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping (e.g., in case of a support request or dispute). You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 6 below, subject to our need to retain certain records (e.g., transaction records) as required by law.
5. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare) operate infrastructure across multiple countries. By using our Software or website, you understand that your information may be processed in a country other than your own, which may have different data protection laws.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To make such a request, contact us at customersupport@petrichorpages.com
7. Children’s Privacy
The Software and our website are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
